Ayurveda Management of Kampavata with special reference to Parkinson’s Disease- A Single Case Study

Parkinson’s disease is a progressive degenerative neurological disorder which mainly affects the motor system of body and it characterized by resting tremors, slowness movements, rigidity, gait disturbances/postural instability. It correlated with Kampa Vata [Disease associated tremors in body] Ayurveda, [Indian ancient science for healthy life] as Sarvanga / Shiro [tremors all over or head]. Vyadhi [principal element caused diseases] occurs due to pathological increase Chala Guna [Moving property] Vata. [Principal Treatment consists both internal external administration different forms aimed reverse pathology imbalance. Here, case 57 years male patient presented hands neck, unable walk without support since 12 years. Patient was treated Panchakarma therapies; like Abhyanga, [External oil massage] Nadi Sweda, [sudation theorapy] Abhyanga [Head massage], Pichu [Oil soaked cotton pad putting on head] Basti [Retension Shamana Aushadhis Tab Vatachintamani Rasa, Kapikachu Beeja Choorna [Mucuna pruriens], Ashwagandha Choorna, [Withamnia somnifera] Cap Ksheerabala 101, Avipatikara 1 month. The got remarkable relief symptoms above Ayurveda medicines.
